A trio of New England-based players were named to the All-Conference PDL Team for the Eastern Conference on Monday.

Defender Pat Boucher (CFC Azul), forward Alencar Junior (Worcester Hydra) and midfielder Jason Massie (GPS Portland Phoenix) were selected through a vote of team management, according to the league’s official release.

Boucher played in 13 games for the Azul during the 2012 season. The University of Hartford defender helped lead the Azul to seven clean sheets on the season and earned a call-up to the Revolution reserves for a Jun. 10 game at Columbus.

Junior led the Northeast Division with 10 goals in 11 games played this season. Despite missing five games, his ten strikes ranked seventh in all of PDL. He also collected three multiple goal games in wins over the Boston Victory (2-0, May 12; 6-0, Jul. 7) and Vermont Voltage (3-2, Jun. 30) and was named to the PDL Team of the Week on May 17.

Massie scored four goals and collected five assists for the Phoenix, who earned a playoff berth with a 10-4-2 (32 points). The English midfielder also made the “Jim Dedeus XI” All Star squad, which is comprised primarily of PDL-based players. The squad will play Oxford United at Portsmouth High School on Monday at 7pm.
