WPSL: Breakers Academy Announces Roster

The Boston Breakers College Academy announced its 30-player roster on Thursday in preparation of its second season competing in WPSL, which kicks off on May 18.
The Breakers Academy, which went 6-3-2 for a second place finish inside the Northeast Atlantic – North Division (now called the New England Division) in 2013, will welcome back 11 players from last year’s side. Among those returning are Boston College products Alex Johnson and Casey Morrison.
In addition to the returnees, the side will welcome UCLA’s Sam Mewis, as well as Harvard stars Midge Purce and Haley Washburn.
The Breakers Academy is comprised entirely of college-aged players with NCAA eligibility remaining, is one of the youngest sides in the New England Division.
The squad will kick off its campaign against the Boston Reserves at 3pm on May 18 at Harvard Stadium.
