It appears that one of the largest home crowds in club history will witness Saturday’s Revolution-Toronto FC regular season finale, per a tweet from Revolution president Brian Bilello on Thursday.

Should the attendance figure exceed 30,000, it could be the highest number for a stand-alone Revolution home match since 2008, when the club drew 39,256 for David Beckham’s first game in Foxborough on Aug. 30.

Currently, the Revolution’s best crowd of the season is the 23,950 who attended the Jun. 8 clash against Red Bulls prior to the World Cup break. The team is averaging 15,676 fans at home this year, an 11 percent increase over last year’s average (14,112) through 16 home dates.

Earlier this week, credentialed media were advised to prepare for heavy traffic around Gillette Stadium prior to Saturday’s match.
