The New England Revolution and Orlando City SC will face off for the first time ever on Friday when the Revolution travel south for this Eastern Conference matchup.

Location: Citrus Bowl, Orlando, Fla.

Scheduled kickoff: 8:00 pm

TV/Radio: Univision Deportes; 98.5 Sports Hub

All-time/Season series:

• First meeting all-time between the Revolution and the expansion Orlando City SC.

• Friday’s affair is the first of two regular season matches between the teams. Orlando City SC will travel to Foxboro on September 5th later this year.

• The Revolution are 11-12-6 all-time against expansion clubs, including a 2-0 loss against NYC FC earlier this year.

Revolution update:

• 5-2-2 overall, 17 points through nine games (1.89 points per game), with 12 goals scored and eight goals against.

• Currently tied for 1st place in the Eastern Conference Standings with DC United, though DC has a game in hand.

• The Revolution are 2-2-0 on the road so far in 2015, with four goals scored and six goals conceded. The Revs have won their previous two road games, a 2-0 win at Colorado and a comeback 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Union.

• Charlie Davies is on a three-game scoring streak, and leads the team in goals. The Revolution are now 4-1-1 in games in which Davies has scored all-time, including 3-0-0 this season. The locals are 5-0-0 in games Davies has started this season, and 0-2-2 when he’s on the bench.

• Andy Dorman earned his fourth yellow card of the season last week against New York, and will be suspended one game if he earns another yellow card this week.

Orlando City update:

• 2-4-2 overall, eight points through eight games (1.0 point per game), with six goals scored and 10 goals against.

• Currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, one point behind the Chicago Fire and Toronto FC for sixth place. Orlando City SC is nine points behind the New England Revolution.

• Currently 1-0-2 on the road in 2015, winning a 2-1 match against the Columbus Crew on March 28th and drawing Sporting Kansas City 1-1 and DC United 2-2.

• Orlando City SC is currently in a scoreless drought of 185 minutes going back to a Kaka penalty scored in the 85th minute of a 2-0 victory against Portland.

• Kaka, the team’s first designated player, currently leads the team with three goals.

• Orlando will be without midfielder/forward Kevin Molino for the first time in an MLS game this year, as he tore his ACL in a friendly last week. Molino has registered 605 minutes, 14 shots, 4 shots on goal, and an assist in eight matches this season. Molino is tied for second on the team in shots and shots on goal, and is only one of three players to register an assist.

• Similar to Andy Dorman, Orlando City midfielder/defender Amobi Okugo has earned four yellow cards and will need to serve a one-game suspension if he is given a yellow card this week.

Next for the Revolution: Saturday, May 16 at home against Toronto FC at 7:30pm.
