A trio of Revolution Youth Academy players will take the international stage in the coming days as defenders Calvin Aroh and Daniel Jones, as well as forward Justin Rennicks, were called up for U.S. Under-18 National Team duty ahead of the Nordic Cup in Sunne, Sweden.

Aroh, Jones and Rennicks, who were each a part of the Revolution U-16 squad that reached the U.S. Soccer Development Academy quarterfinals earlier this month, will join the U.S. U-18s ahead of the international tournament, which will run from Thursday through Aug. 10.

“This is another fantastic opportunity for Calvin, Daniel and Justin, and it’s a reflection on all the hard work they’ve put in during the season,” Revolution director of youth development Bryan Scales said in team release. “Representing your country is always an honor and I know these three players will grab this opportunity with both hands and bring this experience with them as they prepare for the new Academy season.”

Each of the Academy trio has been called up for U.S. U-16s in the past, Tuesday’s call-ups represent the first time all three have been tabbed for U.S. U-18 duty.

Aroh, 16, has scored six goals and added two assists in 55 appearances across two seasons with the Revolution Academy. A center back by trade, he made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Revolution U-16s last year, finding the scoresheet once for the Revolution U-16s in 2014-15.

Jones, 16, has scored 14 goals and added nine assists since in 71 appearances across three season with the Revolution Academy. The attacking left back scored four goals and collected two assists for the Revolution U-16s in 25 appearances during the 2014-15 season, and tallied in the squad’s 5-3 quarterfinal loss to the Philadelphia Union U-16s earlier this month.

Rennicks, 16, has 24 goals and 21 assists in 76 appearances across three seasons with the Revolution Academy, primarily playing up top. In 2014-15, he registered four goals and a team-high nine assists. Earlier this year, he was one of only two Academy players – including Zach Herivaux – called into Revolution preseason camp for the 2015 Desert Diamond Cup.
