It was another day, another significant piece of news coming from Revolution president Brian Bilello on Wednesday.

Barely 24 hours after confirming that the club completed a designated player signing, Bilello took to Twitter again to reveal that the Revolution had signed an international player. And once again, the Revolution president declined to go into detail surrounding the player’s identity.

The Revolution currently have six open international roster spots, with center back Jose Gonclaves the lone player on the team sheet with that designation. The club traded an international spot to Vancouver in 2015 for allocation money.

It’s worth noting that news of the two signings comes at a time in which the Revolution have the third-fewest players under contract in MLS, with 19 players currently signed. Only Philadelphia (18) and Chicago (17) have thinner rosters.

Additionally, the club hasn’t made a bonafide signing since they added Homegrown Player Zachary Herivaux to the roster in May.

The Revolution will kick off their preseason camp on Friday at Gillette Stadium.
