Shortly after he was assigned to the USL for a brief loan spell, Revolution rookie Jordan McCrary went 70 minutes for the Rochester Rhinos in their 1-0 loss to the Richmond Kickers at City Stadium in Richmond, Va.

McCrary started at right back for the Rhinos, and found himself in a precarious situation during the 53rd minute when he slipped on the ball inside his own end and watched Kickers midfielder Brian Ownby make a B-line for goal before Rhinos keeper Adam Grinnis came off his line to dismantle the threat. The Revolution loanee exited the match in the 70th minute for Andre Fortune.

Kickers defender Yudai Imura scored the lone goal of the game in the 61st minute.

The Revolution first round pick at the 2016 SuperDraft has yet to make the gameday roster through the first six games of the MLS season. He will return to New England next week.

McCrary played 195 minutes over five preseason contests, and scored a goal against Vancouver on Feb. 6.

The North Carolina product is the second Revolution player to see time with the Rhinos this season. Last week, reserve midfielder/defender Donnie Smith was also briefly loaned to the USL side for the club’s match at Pittsburgh on Apr. 2, a game in which he went the full 90.
