Leon Wins NWSL Player of the Week

Breakers forward Adriana Leon earned NWSL Play of the Week for week 3 after factoring in every goal during Saturday’s 3-0 win over Seattle Reign FC.

Leon opened the scoring with an 11th minute tally before assisting on Rose Lavelle’s 15th minute goal as well as Natasha Dowie’s 52nd minute effort. She fired three shots on goal before exiting the match in the 85th minute.

The honor was the first of Leon’s career, and the ninth time a Breakers player has won player of the week.

Leon and the Breakers will return to action on Saturday when they host the North Carolina Courage at Jordan Field.
