Revolution midfielder Kelyn Rowe played an important role in Saturday’s 1-1 draw between the U.S. and Panama during the first match of Group B play of the Gold Cup at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tn.

Rowe helped unlock a scoreless match in the 50th minute when he took on a pair of defenders and sent a low left-footed pass centrally for Dom Dwyer, who tapped it through. Rowe went 69 minutes before he gave way to Gyasi Zardes.

The U.S. lead didn’t last for long, though, as Miguel Camargo leveled it in the 60th minute when he pounced on a rebound of a Gabriel Torres shot that Brad Guzan failed to corral.

Revolution striker Juan Agudelo came off the bench in the 62nd minute to spell Joe Corona.

The Yanks will face Martinique in its second Gold Cup match on Wednesday at Raymond James Stadium. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m.
