Boston City FC is headed to the NPSL postseason for the second straight season after grabbing a 2-0 win over top-of-the-conference Kingston Stockade FC on Saturday at Brother Gilbert Stadium in Malden, Mass.

Nana Addai scored his team-leading 12th goal in the 45th minute while Leonardo Carvalho netted the insurance strike in the 90th minute as the Lions claimed the final playoff spot in the Northeast Conference Atlantic White Division.

Saturday’s match was delayed for nearly an hour due to lightning.

With the win, Boston City finished the regular season on 21 points with a 6-3-3 record, one point behind Stockade (7-4-1, 22 points).

Local scoring sensation Keith Caldwell, who tallied against Boston City in Open Cup play as a member of GPS Omens, made his Lions debut days before the NPSL side added him to the squad.

The Lions will either host Hartford City or the Rhode Island Reds on Wednesday. The Colts and Reds will square off for the third and final playoff spot in their regular finale on Sunday at Johnston High School in Johnston, R.I.

Should Boston City beat either foe, a rematch of Saturday’s match will take place in New York on Jul. 15 where Kingston will host the Atlantic Division championship.
