FRISCO, Tex. – For the second consecutive week, the Revs were kept off the board as they fell to FC Dallas Saturday night at Pizza Hut Park.

Marvin Chavez scored in the 69th minute while Kevin Hartman was rarely tested in the course of recording his seventh clean sheet of the season.

Even with Ousmane Dabo and Didier Domi back in action, the Revs failed to assert themselves on the ball early. In fact, the Revs struggled all night to create chances thanks in large part due to their inability to maintain possession.

In the 12th minute, Brek Shea fed Chavez inside the box where the young striker forced Matt Reis to make a heady save to keep Dallas off the board.

With Dallas dominating the game, Shea searched for the opening goal late in the frame when he put a pair of shots on goal that kept the Revs on their heels.

The hosts continued their dominance in the second half with regular runs into Revolution territory ready to stake the lead that had eluded them in the first half.

Fabian Castillo knocked on New England’s door in the 65th minute when he broke into the box and nearly reclaimed his own rebound before Matt Reis smothered it.

But four minutes later, Chavez put the matter to rest when he raced by A.J. Soares and fired one through from a severe angle paces before the near post to put Dallas up in the 69th minute.

The Revs anemic attack found their first corner kick in the 81st minute and a couple of follow-up corners shortly afterward. But, nothing was falling for the guests, as they walked off the pitch minutes later with nothing to show for their lethargic performance.
