The left hamstring injury that midfielder\u00a0Sainey Nyassi suffered during the Feb. 10\u00a0preseason match\u00a0against Boston College\u00a0has landed him\u00a0on the Revolution’s disabled list to start the 2012 season, the team announced on Wednesday.\u00a0He is expected to miss 8-10 weeks.<\/p>\n
Nyassi, who came off in the 20th minute of the match against the Eagles, will miss a minimum of the team’s first six matches. The earliest he can return to the field is the\u00a0Revolution’s \u00a0April 28th game against the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old midfielder missed\u00a0New England’s last 11\u00a0matches\u00a0of the 2011\u00a0season with right\u00a0MCL and right hamstring injuries. His last regular season appearance came on Aug. 6 vs. Chivas USA, a game which saw him play\u00a0 the entire 90.
