{"id":10836,"date":"2012-04-03T11:03:50","date_gmt":"2012-04-03T15:03:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nesoccertoday.com\/?p=10836"},"modified":"2012-04-03T12:35:03","modified_gmt":"2012-04-03T16:35:03","slug":"revs-u-16s-recognized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/nesoccertoday.com\/?p=10836","title":{"rendered":"Revs U-16s Recognized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New England Revolution U-16s earned national recognition this week, breaking into ESPN\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/high-school\/boys-soccer\/story\/_\/id\/7752774\/under-15-16-academy-rankings\" target=\"_blank\">Under-15\/16 2011-12 US Soccer Development Academy Power Rankings<\/a><\/span>. The Revs make their debut in this year\u2019s rankings as ninth in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The U-16s are currently 6-2-0 \u2013 excluding their recent sixth place finish in the 2012 Future Champions Guateng tournament in South Africa \u2013 and sit at first place in the Northeast Division. The Revs U-16s are in the midst of a four game winning streak against US Soccer Development Academy teams.<\/p>\n<p>ESPN notes that their rankings are based on past results and are reactive rather than predictive.<\/p>\n<p>The Revolution youth teams resume the Development Academy schedule at PA Classics in Manheim, Pa., on Saturday, April 14. They then face FC Delco in Downingtown, Pa., the following day.<\/p>\n<p>The U-16s next match against a currently top-10 ranked team comes Saturday, April 21, at Gillette Stadium against the fourth ranked Players Development Academy (11-1-1).
