After playing in every Revolution game this season, midfielder Lee Nguyen will be forced to miss the final four due to right shoulder surgery, the\u00a0club announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0the team’s\u00a0release, the procedure was undertaken “to correct chronic instability in his shoulder.” He is expected to make a full recovery within four months.<\/p>\n

Nguyen, who was added to the team via waiver draft on Mar. 2, played all in 30 games, including Saturday’s 1-1 draw to New York, a game in which he went the full 90. In his first year in New England, he scored five goals and added two assists.<\/p>\n

With Nguyen out for the season, head coach Jay Heaps will be hard pressed to put together a midfield for Saturday’s game in Philadelphia. In addition to Nguyen, the Revolution will also be without starting midfielder Ryan Guy, who is on international duty with the Guam National team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
