Although the calendar may have\u00a0just flipped to December, springtime is\u00a0only six\u00a0weeks away. Well, at least for area\u00a0soccer fans.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the New England Revolution released their five-and-a-half week preseason schedule, with players reporting to camp at Gillette Stadium on Jan. 17.<\/p>\n

From there,\u00a0the Revolution embark on a six-game \u00a0preseason schedule that will take them to Arizona for the second consecutive year. The first of two games at Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Ariz. will be played on Jan. 25\u00a0against Sporting Kansas City.\u00a0On\u00a0Jan. 29, the Revolution\u00a0will\u00a0be\u00a0pitted against\u00a0Vancouver Whitecaps FC.<\/p>\n

The club will return to Foxboro on Jan. 30 for eight days before heading back to Arizona for the 2013 FC Tucson\u00a0Desert Diamond Cup, a four-club round-robin tournament which kicks off on Feb. 13 and runs through Feb. 23 at Kino Veterans Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Revolution will face Seattle (Feb. 13), New York (Feb. 16) and Real Salt Lake (Feb. 20) before the consolation and championship game on Feb. 23. The Revolution went 3-0-1 in the inaugural\u00a0tournament.<\/p>\n

Following the four-game slate, the Revolution return to Foxboro on Feb. 24\u00a0to prepare for\u00a0First Kick 2013, which is scheduled for the weekend of Mar. 2.<\/p>\n

The date, time, place\u00a0and opponent of the club’s first regular season match has not yet been announced.<\/p>\n
