On Monday, Jose Goncalves became the first New England Revolution\u00a0player to win Defender of the Year honors since Michael Parkhurst picked up the\u00a0award in 2007.<\/p>\n

For the sake of debate, we ask\u00a0the question: Who’s performance was more integral to the club’s success? Was it Goncalves, who led the Revolution to a franchise-high 14 clean sheets? Or was it Parkhurst, whose stellar defense\u00a0brought the Revolution to the brink of a championship?<\/p>\n
