After\u00a0seeing the pitch for the U.S. Men’s National Team\u00a0in Friday’s international friendly against Colombia, Revolution midfielders Jermaine Jones and Lee Nguyen were both\u00a0released to their club on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Jones went 90 minutes at\u00a0center back for the U.S.\u00a0in the 2-1 loss at Craven Cottage in London, while Nguyen put in a 12-minute cameo after he came on for Mix Diskerud in the 78th minute. Jones was at the center of a pair of questionable handball calls in the first half, and Nguyen was part of a promising sequence in which Bobby Wood nearly broke though in the 81st minute.<\/p>\n

Friday’s match marked Jones’ 48th cap, while Nguyen recorded his long-awaited fourth cap after a seven-plus year gap since his third, which came on Jul. 5, 2007 against Colombia during Copa America.<\/p>\n

The U.S. will wrap up its 2014 fixture list on Tuesday against Ireland in Dublin.<\/p>\n

The return of Jones and Nguyen should come as welcome news to the Revolution coaching staff, who are in the midst of preparing for the first leg of the Conference Final against New York on Nov. 23.<\/p>\n
