Gillette Stadium will host\u00a0the\u00a0U.S. Men’s National Team’s Gold Cup clash against Haiti at 8:30pm on Jul. 10 as part of a soccer doubleheader at the Revolution’s home grounds.<\/p>\n

The U.S.-Haiti match\u00a0will be preceded by a 6:30pm contest between Panama and the winner of the two-game playoff series between French Guiana and Honduras on March 25 and 29.<\/p>\n

The second match of the evening will mark the first time that the U.S. has played a Gold Cup match in Foxborough since the 2009 tournament and, incidentally, also played Haiti. Revolution coach Jay Heaps and striker Charlie Davies, as did ex-Revolution center back Michael Parkhust, suited up for the U.S. in that contest, which ended in a 2-2 draw.<\/p>\n

This will be the fifth time that Gillette Stadium has hosted the Gold Cup since the stadium opened in 2002, having previously hosted a total of 18 matches in the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 editions of the tournament.<\/p>\n

The U.S. National Team game will also be the first time the team plays in Foxborough since a June 2011 friendly against Spain – which ended in a humbling 4-0 defeat – and the first time that they will do so under the direction of Jurgen Klinsmann.<\/p>\n

As defending champion from the 2013 event, a win this summer would guarantee the United States as the CONCACAF representative in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia. Otherwise, the U.S. would face the 2015 winner in a playoff. The format and schedule will be announced in the future.<\/p>\n
