The New England Revolution host the unbeaten New York Red Bulls in a matchup between two of the Eastern Conference\u2019s top teams.<\/p>\n

Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Red Bulls will be seeking revenge as Saturday\u2019s clash will mark the first game between these teams since the Revolution eliminated the Red Bulls out of the 2014 playoffs. The Revolution won 2-1 in the first leg in New York and tied 2-2 in the second leg at Gillette to win 4-3 in the Eastern Conference Finals and moved onto the MLS Cup last season.<\/p>\n

\u2022 This will be the first of three regular-season meetings between the rivals. The teams will meet again on July 11th at Red Bull Arena and at Gillette Stadium on September 16th.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Overall, this will be the 63rdregular-season meeting between the two teams, with the Revolution holding a slight edge with a 26-22-15 record. The Revolution are winless in the last two years against the Red Bulls, however, with a 0-3-2 record.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Revolution do enjoy hosting New York, with a 18-5-7 record in the regular season against the Red Bulls.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Revolution also have at New York\u2019s number in the MLS Cup Playoffs, with a 4-1-3 record, including a 1-0-1 record in last year\u2019s Eastern Conference Finals.<\/p>\n

Revolution update:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 4-2-2 overall, 14 points through 8 games (1.75points per game), with 10 goals scored and 7 goals against.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Currently tied for first place in the Eastern Conference Standings with DC United, though they have played one more game than DC United.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Revolution are 2-0-2at home so far in 2015, with six goals scored and one goal conceded. The Revs have only conceded against the San Jose Earthquakes, on a penalty kick from Chris Wondolowski. After a pair of 0-0 draws against the Montreal Impact and Columbus Crew, the Revolution won a convincing 4-0 match against Real Salt Lake last week.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Chris Tierney, Charlie Davies, and Juan Agudelo all scored in last week\u2019s match and were honored by the MLS for their performances. Davies and Tierney were listed in the MLS Team of the Week, while Agudelo was listed as an honorable mention.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Andrew Farrell was also honored by the MLS this week, as he was one of five players nominated for player of the month. Farrell has thrived in his new role moving from right back to center back after the departure of A.J. Soares. His nomination marks the first Revolution player to be nominated for player of the month since Lee Nguyen in October 2014.<\/p>\n

New York Red Bulls Update:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 3-0-4 overall, 13 points through 7 games (1.86 points per game), with 11 goals scored and 6 goals against.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Currently in third place in the Eastern Conference, but remain the only unbeaten team in the MLS. The Red Bulls are one point behind the conference leading Revolution and DC United.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Currently 1-0-2 on the road in 2015, winning a 2-1 match against the Columbus Crew on March 28th and drawing Sporting Kansas City 1-1 and DC United 2-2.<\/p>\n

\u2022 New York is returning to the road after a three-game stretch at home, defeating San Jose 2-0 and drawing 1-1 to LA Galaxy and Colorado.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Red Bulls will be on short rest after drawing Colorado 1-1 at home on Wednesday. After a Gabriel Torres goal in the 25th minute to put the home side down, Bradley Wright-Phillips converted a penalty in the 29th minute.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Red Bulls have not been shutout in 2015.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Red Bulls are led by Lloyd Sam and Bradley Wright-Phillips, who both three goals apiece in 2015. Bradley Wright-Phillips is the key offensive weapon, as he leads the team in shots (23) and shots
\non goal (12), is tied for the team lead in assists (3), and lead the team and MLS in goals in 2014 (27).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Defender Damien Perrinelle, who has started all seven games for the Red Bulls, is one yellow card away from a one-game suspension, due to yellow card accumulation.<\/p>\n
