Fagundez&#8217;s effort was nominated for MLSSoccer.com&#8217;s Goal of the Week, and marked the third straight game in which the 20-year-old bulged the back of the net. The Homegrown Player also appeared on the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week last week for his performance against Orlando City.<\/p>\n<p>Farrell&#8217;s performance against the Reds &#8211; who fired a total 21 shots on Sunday &#8211; was nothing short of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/video\/2015\/09\/13\/armchair-analyst-andrew-farrell-key-revolutions-defensive-success\">spectacular<\/a>. The third-year defender racked up a game-high 12 clearances, posted three interceptions, and blocked three shots while marking MVP front-runner Sebastian Giovinco. Farrell&#8217;s nomination marked the third straight week in which he was named to the MLSSoccer.com\u00a0Team of the Week.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week (Week 28)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>GK: Tim Melia (Sporting Kansas City) \u2013 The Chivas USA alum reached a career high in saves, seven, while standing on his head to keep a precious clean sheet for SKC in Portland at midweek.<\/p>\n<p>D: Victor Cabrera (Montreal Impact) \u2013 Played a vital role as his team earned a rare point from a trip to LA, as Montreal&#8217;s composed defending shut down the vaunted Galaxy attack.<\/p>\n<p>D: Bobby Burling (Colorado Rapids) \u2013 The big man showed a finisher&#8217;s touch to beat D.C.&#8217;s Bill Hamid on Saturday and made a bevy of defensive interventions, all without committing a single foul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>D: Andrew Farrell (New England Revolution)<\/strong> \u2013 Made a slew of important defensive plays, many of them deep in his own penalty box, as his team held off Sebastian Giovinco and TFC.<\/p>\n<p>D: Harrison Afful (Columbus Crew SC) \u2013 With a relentless motor and an attacking mindset, the Ghanaian looks perfect for Crew SC and on Saturday vs. Philadelphia, he notched his first MLS assist.<\/p>\n<p>M: Cristian Techera (Vancouver Whitecaps) \u2013 With a goal and an assist vs. Colorado on Wednesday, the diminutive Uruguayan continued to impress in his debut season in British Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>M: Michel (FC Dallas) \u2013 Scored what turned out to be the game-winner on a rare Olimpico vs NYCFC, but was also one of the Dallas\u2019 more dangerous players with three shots on goal and his trademark free kicks.<\/p>\n<p>M: Javier Morales (Real Salt Lake) \u2013 A goal, an assist and a pivotal role in some tantalizing sequences of legit pass-and-move attacking soccer from RSL at Houston.<\/p>\n<p>M: Adrian Winter (Orlando City SC) \u2013 City&#8217;s summer arrival from Switzerland led the unexpected romp over Sporting with a goal in the 3rd minute and another 69 minutes later, powering the desperate Lions to a much-needed win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F: Diego Fagundez (New England Revolution)<\/strong> \u2013 Continued his fine form by scoring his third goal in as many games and helping the Revs weather Toronto FC&#8217;s pressure.<\/p>\n<p>F: Kei Kamara (Columbus Crew SC) \u2013 Two goals vs. Philly ran his league-leading total to 20, and kept him in contention for the all-time single-season scoring mark of 27 (jointly held by Roy Lassiter, Chris Wondolowski and Bradley Wright-Phillips).<\/p>\n<p>Coach: Mauro Biello (Montreal Impact) \u2013 IMFC&#8217;s interim boss set his team up to successfully stymie the defending champs, as LA dropped points at home for just the fourth time all season.<\/p>\n<p>Bench: Bill Hamid (DC), Fatai Alashe (SJ), Sacha Kljestan (NY), Cristian Higuita (ORL), Juan Manuel Martinez (RSL), David Accam (CHI), Obafemi Martins
