Former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Uri Rossel, who is currently with Portuguese Liga side Sporting CP, is on the Revolution’s radar, according to a report out of Lisbo<\/a>n.<\/p>\n

Portuguese outlet Abola<\/em> detailed that the 23-year-old midfielder is apparently being targeted by the Revolution, who have an affiliation agreement with Sporting CP.<\/p>\n

Rossel has only played 12 Liga matches for the Leoes<\/em> since he was brought in via transfer from MLS in Jun. 2014. The transfer was worth a reported $1 million. As a result of the transfer, Sporting KC no longer holds his MLS rights. <\/p>\n

Between 2012 and 2014, Rossel played 43 matches for Sporting KC, scoring two goals. He helped the club win the 2013 MLS Cup title. <\/p>\n

Last month, Revolution general manager Michael Burns and coach Jay Heaps visited Lisbon to meet with Sporting’s braintrust. <\/p>\n

Additionally, Revolution midfielders Donnie Smith and Zachary Herivaux, along with striker Sean Okoli, trained with the Portuguese side for three weeks. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
