A week after providing a preview of their 2016 fixture list, the Revolution released their full, 34-match regular season schedule on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The club previously announced its season opener at Houston on Mar. 6, as well as their home opener vs. DC United on Mar. 12 and road tilt no. 2 at Philadelphia on Mar. 20.<\/p>\n

Among the highlights of the remaining 31 matches that were released on Thursday: a rare Friday night home game vs. New York Red Bulls on Apr. 1, a home clash against MLS Cup champion Portland Timbers on Apr. 27, and a home contest against Orlando City on Apr. 30, which will give local fans a glimpse of longtime Revolution fullback Kevin Alston in a Lions kit. Additionally, the club will close its\u00a0schedule at home on Oct. 23 when they face the Montreal Impact.<\/p>\n

The Revolution will play five games on national television in 2016, though only one will be played at Gillette Stadium (Apr. 1 vs. New York on UniMas).<\/p>\n

The league will take a brief hiatus between Jun. 2-17 for the group stage play of the Copa America Centenario, which will be held in the U.S. for the first time.<\/p>\n
