Noted philosopher Ron Burgundy once said \u201cBoy. That escalated quickly.\u201d The press release coming out from Connecticut United FC on Thursday pertaining to the dismissal of general manager Daniel Hoskins seemed to echo that sentiment.<\/p>\n
Less than a week after it played its debut match, the Nutmeg outfit parted ways with Hoskins, who helped oversee the club’s entrance into the ASL.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to thank Dan for all his efforts, and wish him nothing but the best with his future endeavors,” CT United owner Owner Greg Bajek said in a team release. “Obviously, it did not work here. We are in the beginning stages of our existence and have decided to go in another direction.<\/p>\n
“We need everyone on the same page and felt this change was necessary. At this point, we\u2019ve decided to shake things up and refocus on our core values and follow the club\u2019s mission statement. It was a very difficult decision to make the change, but ultimately, it was absolutely necessary\u201d.<\/p>\n
Hoskins’ replacement has not yet been announced.
