Somewhat. (Brian) … Made a few good saves, but was slow off his line on the first goal and possibly could’ve gotten to the cross on the second. (Brian) … In no-man’s land on Chara’s goal. Struggled all night with Portland’s creative attack and often caught out of position. Timing of runs forward was questionable. (Sean)

Franco Coria – Average Rating: 3 (Brian 3, Sean 3)
Beaten to pulp by Cooper and general indifference inside the box led to the first two goals. Sloppy performance. (Brian) … Beaten by Cooper all night and with better finishing could’ve been at fault for more goals. (Sean)

A.J. Soares – Average Rating: 3.5 (Brian 3.5, Sean 3.5)
Painfully out of synch with Coria; lax defending made him look like a bonafide rookie. (Brian) … Struggled with positioning as Portland easily sliced through the center of the Revs defense. (Sean)

Darrius Barnes – Average: 5.25 (Brian 5, Sean 5.5)
One of the few bright(er) spots defensively; overmatched early, but settled in as the game progressed. (Brian) … Made several saving tackles and blocks to prevent the final score from being worse than it was. (Sean)

Chris Tierney – Average Rating: 4.25 (Brian 4.5, Sean 4)
Serviceable on set pieces and crosses, but soft challenge on Nagbe goal left Reis out to dry. (Brian) … Didn’t close Palmer quick enough in the build-up to Chara’s goal. Struggled when moved to left back and couldn’t get much going forward in the midfield either. (Sean)

Sharlie Joseph – Average Rating: 4.5 (Brian 4.5, Sean 4.5)
Ball-watching on the Chara goal, defensively shaky overall; but helped out in the possession department. (Brian) … Passing was good, but along with Coria and Soares was caught flat-footed on the opening goal. (Sean)

Benny Feilhaber – Average Rating: 5.25 (Brian 5.5, Sean 5)
The engine of the attack much of the night, but at times tried to do too much. (Brian) … Creativity on his shots was impressive, but overambitious run that ended in a turnover right off the kickoff was a good example of his night. (Sean)

Monsef Zerka – Average Rating: 4.25 (Brian 4, Sean 4.5)
Solid early, but once again, disappeared as the game progressed; fitness has betrayed him. (Brian) … The class is obvious, but the conditioning isn’t there yet. (Sean)

Milton Caraglio – Average Rating: 3.75 (Brian 3.5, Sean 4)
Finishing flew the coop; chipped in on defense, but in front of the net, he failed to put away some golden chances. (Brian) … Appears capable of the spectacular, but his shooting let him down all night. (Sean)

Rajko Lekic – Average Rating: 4 (Brian 4, Sean 4)
Poor runs and wild ideas plagued him before he picked up an injury before the half. (Brian) … Unlike the previous two matches, didn’t seem on the same page with Caraglio. (Sean)

(sub) Zack Schilawski – Average Rating: 3.75 (Brian 4, Sean 3.5)
Never looked comfortable up top with Caraglio; lone shot on goal only noticeable contribution to the attack. (Brian) … Slipped on a great chance late in the match and otherwise struggled to connect with the rest of the offense. (Sean)

(sub) Ryan Guy – Average Rating: 4.75 (Brian 5, Sean 4.5)
A force on the right immediately, but seemed to become a liability late. (Brian) … Provided energy off the bench, but his service was generally a bit too long. (Sean)

(sub) Kenny Mansally – Average Rating: 5 (Brian 5.5, Sean 4.5)
Passing was solid, but never really sprang a solid chance from the left. (Brian) … Struggled to make much of an impact after entering.
