Amateur Cup Qualifying on Tap in Mass.

A quartet of Massachusetts clubs resume action on Sunday for the second round of National Amateur Cup qualifying.

Mass Premier Soccer (BSSL), Mass United FC (BSSL), Boston Olympiakos (MSSL) and Battery Park Gunners (BSSL) will take to the pitch this weekend in search of a state final berth.

Mass Premier Soccer and Mass United FC face off at Madison Park High School in Boston. Kickoff is set for 1pm. MPS enters the match following a 1-0 first round victory over Lowell Portuguese (MSSL) on Oct. 28. Mass United heads into the contest following a 4-3 win over Middlesex FC on Oct. 28.

A few miles to the north, Boston Olympiakos and defending champion Battery Park Gunners meet at Roberto Clemente Field in Boston. Kickoff is set for 2pm. Olympiakos enters the match coming off a 2-1 win over Strela Negra (NELASA) on Oct. 28, while Battery Park Gunners come into Sunday’s contest well-rested after they were given a first-round bye.

The winners of Sunday’s contests will earn a spot in the state final, which is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 2.
