The New England Revolution are using the week between preseason trips to Florida and Arizona to connect with local fans in their annual pub tour, which offers a chance for local fans to connect with the players in an informal atmosphere.  Tuesday evening there was a nice turnout of fans at the Banshee in Boston for the kick-off and Wednesday evening saw an packed event as fans lined up almost out the door to meet teen sensation Diego Fagundez.

On Tuesday evening, two players scheduled to attend were unable to make it. Kelyn Rowe stepped in to replace Chris Tierney and Brad Knighton replaced team captain Jose Goncalves, who was unable to attend due to the flu. Lee Nguyen rounded out the player present at the Banshee. The players had fun interacting with fans, posing for pictures and autographing pictures and posters.

Goalkeeper Brad Knighton shared with NEST photographer Kari Heistad that he and his family were very excited to be back in New England and that he was looking forward to a good season ahead. After the event he tweeted the following:

Kelyn Rowe confessed when asked that he finds a recent fan twitter handle (@RowersforKelyn) to be all good fun and that he was very excited to come back to Boston after the off season so that he could get back to work. He also said that Boston feels like home to him now.

On Wednesday evening, Saer Sene and Dimitry Imbongo joined Diego at CBS Sports where a long line of patient fans waited for their chance to get all sorts of items autographed by the trio.  The Wednesday evening event was geared more towards kids and families and those attending were largely this targeted group. For two hours the players interacted with fans showing great patience and a sense of humor. Some people had brought presents for the players including a box of chocolate breakfast cereal for Diego which he noted in his MLS36 video is his preferred breakfast choice.

Saer noted to several fans attending that his ankle is feeling good and that he is anxious to get back on the practice field. He commented on how he loves to play the game and that he said he is eager to start scoring goals again for the team, which will be welcome news to Revs fans.

The Thursday, February 13 pub night at RiRa in Providence featuring Kevin Alston, Scott Caldwell and Andrew Farrell has been moved to Wednesday, March 12 from 7-9 pm due to the incoming snow storm slated to hit Providence on Thursday.
