The Revolution play their final road game of the regular season Thursday when they take on the Houston Dynamo.

Location: BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston

Scheduled kick-off: 8:00 p.m.

TV/Radio: ESPN 2; 98.5 FM The Sports Hub.

Season series: Final regular-season meeting between the two teams; The Dynamo beat the Revolution 4-0 on March 8 this season in Houston; New England won the second match on April 12 in Foxboro by a final of 2-0.

Revolution update: 15-13-4 overall, 49 points through 32 games (1.53 points per game), with 48 goals scored and 45 goals against….Currently sit six points behind DC United for first place in the Eastern Conference. The Revolution are tied with Sporting Kansas City, but sit in second place since they hold the tiebreaker for more wins. New England is two points in front of New York Red Bulls in fourth place and three points in front of the Columbus Crew for fourth place…The Revolution clinched a playoff spot last Saturday with a draw vs. Montreal…The Revolution are 7-1-1 in their last nine games…The Revolution may opt to rest Jermaine Jones, who played for the U.S. Men’s National Team vs. Honduras in a friendly on Tuesday night. If he were to play Thursday, it would be his third match in the span of six days….The Revolution are 5-0-1 in games Jermaine Jones starts, outscoring opponents 14-8 in those six games. When Jones doesn’t start, the Revolution are 10-12-3 and have been outscored 34-39….The Revolution are 2-1-1 in their last four road matches after losing five straight on the road.

Houston Dynamo update: 11-15-6 overall, 39 points through 32 games (1.22 points per game), with 37 goals scored and 54 goals against…..Currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, and out of playoff contention… Currently second worst in the Eastern Conference in goals scored, goals conceded, and goal differential, with only the Montreal Impact worse in all three categories…Houston is coming off a 3-1 home loss to DC United and have dropped two of their last three matches after being unbeaten in five consecutive matches….This match will be the final home game for Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear, who will resign at season’s end and take over as head coach of the San Jose Earthquakes for next season. Kinnear won two MLS Cups with the Dynamo in 2006 and 2007 – both at the expense of the Revolution – and led his team to a pair of runner-up finishes in 2011 and 2012. Kinnear has a record of 112-88-86 with the Dynamo and has been the only coach for the Dynamo since the franchise relocated from San Jose to Houston.

Next for Revolution: The Revolution finish the regular season at home next Saturday, October 25th at 7:30 pm, when they play Toronto FC.
