FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Good afternoon from Gillette Stadium, where the Revolution (0-2-0, 0 points) will meet the Montreal Impact (0-1-0, 0 points) for the first match of the season in Foxborough. Kickoff is set for 3:00pm.

What’s at stake: No doubt about it for the Revolution – getting that first win of the season. After stumbling in their first two on the road, the name of the game is making Gillette Stadium a fortress and getting three points. For the Impact, who are in the midst of a stunning CONCACAF Champions League run, it’s about carrying that momentum into Saturday’s match and, of course, staying healthy.

Biggest question: Can the Revolution improve upon their finishing after tossing a number of gift-wrapped chances into the wastebasket last weekend? Jay Heaps said that he was encouraged by what he saw during the 20th and 45th minutes of his club’s contest at New York City, but was ultimately disappointed as the Revolution were blanked for the second straight game.

Noteworthy: Since entering the league in 2012, the Impact hold a 2-1-0 edge over the Revolution at Gillette Stadium.

Weather conditions: After light blanket of snow fell upon the region during the morning, the precipitation has tapered off, with temperatures in the mid-30s ahead of kickoff.

Referee watch: Edvin Jurisevic is the man in the middle for Saturday’s home opener. The last Revolution match Jurisevic oversaw was 2-0 victory for the locals against the Houston Dynamo on Apr. 12, 2014 at Gillette Stadium, issuing three cautions during the early-season affair. Joining Juresevic is Brian Dunn (AR1) and Oscar Mitchell-Carvalho (AR2), while Alex Chilowicz is the fourth official.
