Gameday: #NEvVAN

Gillette-Stadium

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Revolution (6-6-6, 24 points) will face the Vancouver Whitecaps (9-6-2, 29 points) for the first and only time in 2015. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm

Last year, the sides settled for a 0-0 draw in the 2014 Revolution home opener last March.

What’s at stake? For the Revolution, it’s all about reversing their recent trend of dropping points, both at home and on the road. They enter the Saturday’s contest winless in nine of their last 10 games across all competitions. The Whitecaps enter Saturday’s contest winners of their last two games, both on the road, and will look to continue that form at Gillette Stadium.

Biggest question: Can the Revolution do something they’ve struggled to do over the last two months – put together a complete 90 minute performance?

Noteworthy: Saturday’s match will be the second consecutive time the Revolution will face the Whitecaps at home. The last time the Revolution played in Vancouver was back in 2013.

Weather: We have overcast skies here at Gillette Stadium, with temperatures in the high-60s. Rain is expected to move through the area around kickoff.

Referees: Allen Chapman will be the referee for Saturday’s match. Chapman’s last Revolution game was their 4-2 loss at Kansas City on May 20. Joining Chapman will be Jonathan Johnson (AR1) and Kathryn Nesbitt (AR2). Kevin Terry Jr. will serve as the fourth official.
