The Revolution will have at least one representative at the MLS All-Star Game after left back Chris Tierney was named to the league’s 22-man roster for the midsummer classic later this month.

Tierney, who’s played in 19 of the Revolution’s first 21 games, has one goal and two assists to his credit this season. He has also served as captain at various points during his eight-year career.

The Wellesley, Mass. native will be one of 22 All-Stars that will take on Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur on Jul. 29 at 9 p.m. ET at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.

The 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game will be broadcast nationally in English on Fox Sports 1 and in Spanish on UniMás.

The All-Star nomination is the first of Tierney’s career. He will be the first Revolution named to the All-Star roster since 2011, when Shalrie Joseph made it to the midsummer classic.
