The Breakers added another piece to their roster by signing midfielder Amanda DaCosta on Monday.<\/p><\/div>\n

Former magicJack midfielder Amanda DaCosta was added to the Breakers roster, the team announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

DaCosta, who was recently invited to U.S. Women’s National Team U-23 camp in January, was drafted by magicJack in 2011 before signing with\u00a0 Sky Blue FC in the offseason. But\u00a0in January,\u00a0the decision\u00a0came down\u00a0to suspend the 2012 WPS season, and\u00a0DaCosta became a free agent.<\/p>\n

The addition of DaCosta gives the Breakers a versatile midfielder who can play in the center or on either wing.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining WPS, the Katonah, N.Y. native was an All-ACC selection all four years at Florida State University, where she scored 17 goals and collected 24 assists in her career with the Seminoles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
