Apparently, the pitch isn’t the only place the Revolution have struggled this season.<\/p>\n
According the league’s latest attendance figures, New England, which currently sits in eighth place in the Eastern Conference, remains dead last at the gate, with a league-low 12,542 average home\u00a0attendance this season through Week 28. The current figure is a\u00a05.2 per cent drop from their final 2011 home attendance average (13,222).<\/p>\n
For regional perspective,\u00a0their fellow Kraft Sports counterparts – the New England Patriots – outdrew the Revolution’s attendance figure during a number of its training camp sessions over the summer, with select sessions exceeding 14,000.<\/p>\n
At top of the MLS attendance rankings: Seattle (42,379), Montreal (23,107) and Los Angeles (22,309). On the whole, the average league attendance is currently 18,501, up 3.4 per cent from the league-record 17,872 average\u00a0it drew last season.<\/p>\n
