Battery Park Gunners (BSSL)\u00a0kicked off their U.S. Open Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-1 first round win over Mass United FC (MSSL) on Saturday at Madison Park High School.<\/p>\n
The Gunners grabbed goals from Ben Shuleva and Joe Annese before the half, while Alencar Junior brought one back for the Riders in the second half.<\/p>\n
With the win, the Gunners advance to the second round of the tournament, where they’ll play the winner of Sunday’s first round contest between Middlesex FC-East Providence Sports.<\/p>\n
