A left leg contusion suffered during\u00a0last weekend’s\u00a0match against Montreal has\u00a0midfielder Jermaine Jones listed as “questionable” on the Revolution’s injury report ahead of the team’s conference clash in Columbus on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Jones, who exited the Montreal match at halftime\u00a0following a rough first-half encounter with Calum Mallace, was seen sporting a walking boot following the team’s 2-1 win over the Impact. Jones was not spotted during passing\/possession drills during Wednesday’s training, but coach Jay Heaps termed Jones’ prognosis as “optimistic.”<\/p>\n
Joining Jones on the injury list: Shalrie Joseph who is listed as “questionable” with a right quadriceps strain. The\u00a0holding midfielder was\u00a0present for Wednesday’s training, and participated in the team’s passing\/possession drills.<\/p>\n
Andy Dorman\u00a0(right knee sprain) and Stephen McCarthy (left meniscus surgery) remain listed as “out.” Dorman\u00a0participated in the team’s\u00a0passing\/possession drills on Wednesday, and is about 10 weeks removed from the time he suffered his injury. The initial prognosis for his recovery\u00a0was 10-12 weeks.\u00a0 McCarthy, who underwent surgery\u00a0last Friday,\u00a0was not spotted during\u00a0training. His recovery his expected to take about six weeks.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, left back Chris Tierney, who was listed as “questionable” with a left knee sprain last week, is no longer on the report.
