Jermaine Jones is officially the highest-paid player in Revolution history after the latest salary list from the\u00a0MLS Player Union revealed that the U.S. International is commanding a salary of $3.252 million.<\/p>\n

Jones was acquired by the club following a blind draw conducted by the league in late-August. Following the news, ESPN’s Alexi Lalas reported that Jones was signed to a\u00a01.5 year deal\u00a0worth $4.7 million.<\/p>\n

The $3 million-plus figure is by far the largest salary in Revolution history. The previous high was Shalrie Joseph’s\u00a0 designated player deal worth $550,000\u00a0during\u00a0the 2012 season.<\/p>\n

In addition to Jones’ salary, other notable\u00a0salaries on the Union’s list included Geoffery Castillion’s $329,000 number, as well as the aforementioned Joseph, who’s figure is listed at $294,000.\u00a0 Castillion and Joseph command the third- and fourth-highest salaries, respectively,\u00a0on the Revolution roster,\u00a0according to the list.<\/p>\n

The top five earners on the Revolution roster\u00a0are as follows:<\/p>\n

1. Jermaine Jones ($3,252,000)<\/p>\n

2. Jose Goncalves ($479,375)<\/p>\n

3. Geoffrey Castillion ($329,033)<\/p>\n

4. Shalrie Joseph ($294,000)<\/p>\n

5. Teal Bunbury ($233,000)<\/p>\n
