Western Mass Pro Soccer extended their season-long unbeaten streak to six after grabbing a 2-1 comeback win over the Philadelphia Fury on Saturday at Washington Township High School in Sewell, N.J.<\/p>\n

Seydou Ba gave the hosts the lead in the 43rd minute,\u00a0but the Lusitanos equalized in the 84th minute\u00a0from Eddie Bogle. Immediately after,\u00a0Will Daniels\u00a0grabbed the game-winner in the 85th minute to seal the squad’s fourth win of the season.<\/p>\n

Western Mass improved its record to 4-0-2 (14 points),\u00a0and remained atop the ASL table. They will return to action on Saturday when they host Ironbound Soul at Lusitano Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

In other New England-based ASL action, the Rhode Island Oceaneers and Mass United FC settled for a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.<\/p>\n

Mass United’s Fabio Barbosa scored the opener in the 51st minute, but the lead would not last long after Andres Perdomo put the match back on level terms in the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

The draw put the Oceaneers’ mark at 1-2-1 (4 points), while the Riders’ record went to 0-1-4 (4 points).<\/p>\n

Rhode Island returns to action on October 11 when they travel to New Jersey for a clash against AC Crusaders. Mass United will also be on the road next weekend when they face Evergreen Diplomats in Maryland on October 11.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
