Gillette Stadium will\u00a0welcome back the U.S. Men’s National Team on Jul. 10, 2015 as part of a CONCACAF Gold Cup doubleheader,\u00a0per a release from the New England Revolution on Tuesday. The tournament will be held throughout North America, and will run from July 7-26.<\/p>\n

The Revolution’s home park last hosted Gold Cup action in 2009 after hosting it three times previously (2003, 2005 and 2007). During the 2009 tournament, the U.S. fielded a squad that included current Revolution coach Jay Heaps as well as\u00a0the club’s recent postseason hero,\u00a0Charlie Davies.<\/p>\n

The last edition of the tournament made a stop in Hartford, Ct. in 2013 after the 2011 tournament did not feature a New England-based site.<\/p>\n

The July\u00a0doubleheader will mark the first time since 2011 that the U.S. has played in Foxboro. That match saw the U.S. absorb a comprehensive 4-0 defeat against top-ranked Spain.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0complete groups and schedule, including selection of dates and matches for the knockout round and the awarding of the Final, will be announced in 2015.<\/p>\n
