Nicklas Bendtner was the class of the field in Wednesday’s match between the United States and Denmark and, unfortunately for the guests, he saved his best for last.<\/p>\n

Bendtner scored three goals, but his finest effort was his final strike, which sunk the U.S. in stoppage time as they fell 3-2 to Denmark in an international friendly at Nrgi Park in Arhus, Denmark.<\/p>\n

The Danish scorer struck in the 33rd, 83rd and 91st minute, the latter of which unfolded in breathtaking fashion.<\/p>\n

Catching the U.S. backline in a prone position, he snuck through and latched onto a Christian Eriksen ball and volleyed it through, capping a sensational evening for the Wolfburg forward.<\/p>\n
