The New England Revolution will play the LA Galaxy on Sunday for the first time since the two teams met in last season’s MLS Cup.<\/p>\n

Location:<\/strong> Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.<\/p>\n

Scheduled kickoff:<\/strong> 7:00 pm<\/p>\n

TV\/Radio:<\/strong> Fox Sports 1<\/p>\n

All-time\/Season series:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 The Galaxy leads the all-time season series 18-15-6. Jay Heaps’ side fell in both contests to LA last season, including the 2-1 defeat in the championship. At home, the Revs are 10-6-2 versus the Galaxy.<\/p>\n

\u2022 This will be the only time that these teams face each other during the regular season.<\/p>\n

\u2022 In the Galaxy’s 2-1 victory in the MLS Cup, it was Robbie Keane who delivered a game-winning goal in the 111th minute of play to take a lead over New England. Gyasi Zardes took the lead for LA in the 52nd minute, but the Revolution responded with a tying goal in the 79th by Chris Tierney.<\/p>\n

Revolution update:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 5-3-5 overall, 20 points through 13 games (1.54 points per game), with 18 goals scored and 16 goals against.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Revs are still fighting to overtake DC United for first place in the Eastern Conference, sitting just two points back following their 1-1 tie to DC last Saturday. New England now holds a three-point advantage over the New York Red Bulls, who have two games in hand.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Revolution extended their winless streak to four games, with their last win their last win coming on May 2 against the Red Bulls in a 2-1 victory.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Through seven home games, New England has not lost a game, winning four and tying three.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Charlie Davies scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season against DC United, just one ahead of Juan Agudelo. Davies has already surpassed his goal total of three from last year. The Revolution will be without Lee Nguyen and Tierney, who are both suspended after last week’s ejections versus DC.<\/p>\n

LA Galaxy Update:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 5-4-5 overall, 20 points through 14 games (1.43 points per game), with 13 goals scored and 15 goals against.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Galaxy are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference, tied with Vancouver on points and three points behind Seattle for first place.<\/p>\n

\u2022 LA is winless away from home this season, drawing three and losing four. They’ve scored just four away goals, including two in their last four contests.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Just three Galaxy players have at least two goals, with Alan Gordon scoring a team-best four times. Zardes and Keane each have two tallies on the year.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Riding a two-game win streak, LA has kept two consecutive clean sheets, both 1-0 wins over Houston and Salt Lake.<\/p>\n
