It appears that stability between the sticks won’t be\u00a0an issue anytime soon for the Revolution after they\u00a0re-signed starting goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth to a new deal on Monday.<\/p>\n

Shuttleworth, who joined the club as a developmental player back in 2009, has made 97 appearances\u00a0for the Revolution during the\u00a0course of his seven-year career. After backing up longtime keeper Matt Reis for a number of years, he became the full-time\u00a0starter in 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cBobby\u2019s development as a goalkeeper has grown tremendously during his time in New England,\u201d Revolution general manager Michael Burns said in team release on Monday. \u201cWe are very pleased he has decided to re-sign with MLS to continue his career in New England.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old keeper posted career bests in games played (32) and clean sheets (8) last year. In 2015, Shuttleworth has already collected six clean sheets\u00a0in 22 starts to date. Earlier this year, he became only the second keeper in club history to record 30 wins in a Revolution uniform.<\/p>\n

Terms of Shuttleworth’s deal were not disclosed, per club and league policy. His salary going into the 2015 season was $111,250 according to\u00a0the MLS Players Union.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
