Darrius Barnes – Average Rating: 5.25 (Brian 5, Sean 5.5)
Shaky on the right, long throw-ins were suspect. Given that he was playing out of his position in a driving rain matched up against Landon Donovan didn’t help matters. (Brian) … Given a tough assignment playing out of position, but put in a fairly solid performance. (Sean)

Franco Coria – Average Rating: 6.75 (Brian 7, Sean 6.5)
Revs best defender, formidable in the air, man marking solid, pretty darn good for his MLS debut. (Brian) … Looked strong in the air and had a very solid debut, but was embarrassed by Barrett early. (Sean)

A.J. Soares – Average Rating: 5.5 (Brian 6, Sean 5)
A little sloppy but, for the most part, played pretty well. Looked confident throughout. (Brian) … Clearances were poor throughout the night, including one that led to the Galaxy equalizer. Showed his potential at times, but was overshadowed by Coria. (Sean)

Chris Tierney – Average Rating: 6 (Brian 6, Sean 6)
Good performance for the team’s Swiss Army knife. Took advantage of the slippery surface and pushed up with some unexpected bite. (Brian) … A couple of shaky moments defending Beckham and others, but overall solid performance. (Sean)

Zak Boggs – Average Rating: 5 (Brian 5, Sean 5)
Struggled a bit on the attack but ran back to defend pretty well. A step ahead of the ball a couple of times. (Brian) … At times looked a bit lost in the Revs new formation, but helped out on defense when needed and worked hard on both ends of the field. (Sean)

Shalrie Joseph – Average Rating: 7.75 (Brian 7.5, Sean 8 )
Man of the match. Early goal raised his teammates confidence immediately, distributed well, and nearly had another when his second shot went off the post. (Brian) … Did everything for the Revs. Led the team in the attack and was his usual self breaking up opponents attacks. Distribution and vision continues to impress. (Sean)

Stephen McCarthy – Average Rating: 6 (Brian 6, Sean 6)
Very few mistakes, looked calm and collected even after taking a few bumps. (Brian) … Strong debut for the rookie, though passes in the attacking third were a bit lacking at times. (Sean)

Pat Phelan – Average Rating: 4.5 (Brian 4.5, Sean 4.5)
Not his best performance. Gave Juninho far too much space on the Galaxy goal, and was very indecisive inside the defending third. (Brian) … Failed to have much of an impact on the match. (Sean)

Marko Perovic – Average Rating: 6 (Brian 6, Sean 6)
Good service and picked his spots pretty well before coming off early with an injury. (Brian) … Picked up where he left off last season: spearheading the Revs attack. Revs attack lacked bite after Perovic left injured. (Sean)

Zack Schilawski – Average Rating: 5.5 (Brian 5, Sean 6)
Collected a couple of chances in the center-forward’s role, but lacked the service he needs to be effective. (Brian) … Looked surprisingly strong as the lone striker. Did well to force the defense into problems on several occasions throughout the match. (Sean)

(sub) Kenny Mansally – Average Rating: 5 (Brian 5, Sean 5)
Made a few nice runs, but failed to threaten beyond that. (Brian) … Limited impact as the Revs were on the back foot for much of the match. Earned the Revs a late corner kick. (Sean)

(sub) Sainey Nyassi – Average Rating: 5 (Brian 5, Sean 5)
Created a few late chances in limited time. Could’ve made more of an impact had he started given the conditions. (Brian) … Didn’t see much of the ball after coming on.
