She also played for the Houston Dash in 2014, and for Liverpool LFC under current Breakers head coach Matt Beard in 2013, leading it to its first-ever FA Women\u2019s Super League trophy. <\/p>\n<p>The Breakers originally acquired Engen&#8217;s rights from Chicago in a trade that sent goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher to the Red Stars back in November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhitney is a great addition to our roster,\u201d Beard said in a team release in November. \u201cShe is a world-class center back with great leadership qualities.
