Kei Kamara scored early, but the Chicago Fire were simply too much for the Revolution, whose road woes worsened Saturday after they were outgunned in a 4-1 loss at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. <\/p>\n

Kamara, who’s now scored in three straight games, tallied in the 24th minute to briefly level a match that the Fire got the jump on thanks to a Matt Polster strike in the eighth minute. <\/p>\n

But the Fire were too fierce as Juninho grabbed the go-ahead in the 39th minute while Michael de Leeuw netted another in the 49th minute. Luis Solignac added to the Revolution’s embarrassment by scoring in the 90 + 2 minute.<\/p>\n

With the loss, the Revolution fall to 7-10-5 (26 points), and remain winless on the road (0-8-3). They were outscored by Chicago 9-2 during their three-game regular season series, and did not take a single point from the Fire this year.<\/p>\n

Kamara scored his fourth goal over the last three by getting on the receiving end of a Lee Nguyen free kick, which he nodded through by towering over a pair of Fire defenders not long after Polster’s breakthrough.<\/p>\n

But the striker’s tally was the only highlight of the night for the Revolution. Juninho’s 39th minute goal sealed the victory for the second-place Fire, who sent four players to the All-Star Game earlier in the week.<\/p>\n

The second half opened the door for additional woes for the guests, who simply weren’t vigilant enough in keeping the Fire attack from finding two more through de Leeuw and Solignac. <\/p>\n

The Revolution return home for an inter-conference clash against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30pm. Last year, the Revolution staked a 2-1 road victory in Vancouver during their lone regular season meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
