The 33-year-old French international, who was signed in January to shore up a shallow defensive line, gave the Revs a sound defender who could also\u00a0push up on the attack.<\/p>\n
It certainly looked promising. During the preseason, Domi did well to help the Revs in the possession department, and gave the squad some much-needed bite on the attack.<\/p>\n
But it wasn’t long before injuries\u00a0sent Domi\u00a0to the sidelines.<\/p>\n
He\u00a0missed\u00a0the March 20th season opener due to knee swelling, but returned for the home opener against D.C. However, injuries would continue to plague the French international.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0May, strained left quadriceps kept\u00a0him out\u00a0on the sidelines\u00a0for four matches. The following month, he\u00a0saw action in two matches\u00a0before Achilles\u00a0tendonitis sent him back to the trainer’s table.<\/p>\n
In total, the French international saw action in nine games, with eight starts. He recorded his only offensive statistic against New York on June 11, when he assisted on Zak Boggs’ goal in a 2-1 loss at Red Bull Arena.<\/p>\n
