FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Even with the 2011 regular season two games away from completion, Revolution manager Steve Nicol is already thinking about 2012.<\/p>\n
Right back Junior Ntame, 26, and central midfielder Nicolas Dieuze, 32, both of whom are reportedly out of contract, were brought in for trials this week, giving the gaffer a glimpse of two internationals who may be use next season.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re just trying to bring as many players as we can,” Nicol said. “Then sit down and go through who\u2019ve we\u2019ve brought in and sort it out.”<\/p>\n
Ntame was with Stade Brestois (Ligue 1) last two seasons, but saw his action limited to three appearances. Prior to joining the French side, the Cameroonian international played in Slovenia for Interblock, where he made 38 total appearances (one goal) from 2008-2010.<\/p>\n
Dieuze has played in 34 games for Grenoble (Ligue 2) in the last two seasons, scoring five goals. Before joining Grenoble, the French international was with Le Havre (2008-09) and Ligue 1 side Toulouse (2003-08).<\/p>\n
Although the manager\u00a0may have been\u00a0coy\u00a0regarding\u00a0any specific plans the\u00a0club may have\u00a0for either Dieuze and Ntame, it bears mentioning that Nicol invited another pair of former Ligue 1 players – Didier Domi and Ousmane Dabo – in for trials last fall. Both were signed prior to the 2011 season, but neither made it through the summer, as Dabo retired in July and Domi was released from his contract later that month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
