USOC, Amateur Cup Qualifying Set in Mass.

It’ll be a busy autumn for a number of amateur clubs in the Commonwealth, with National Amateur Cup and U.S. Open Cup qualifying on tap for Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, respectively.

On Sunday, Mass United FC (BSSL), Middlesex FC (BSSL), Boston Olympiakos (MSSL), Lowell Portuguese FC (MSSL) Mass Premier Soccer (MSSL) and Strela Negra (NELASA) kick off their quest for the National Amateur Cup trophy. Defending champion Battery Park Gunners (BSSL) have been given a first-round bye.

Mass Premier will face Lowell Portuguese at Wayland High School in Wayland at 2pm, while Strela Negra and Boston Olympiakos meet at Madison Park High School in Boston at 2pm. Mass United FC and Middlesex FC are slated for action at 7:30pm at Lawrence Memorial Stadium in Lawrence.

Battery Park Gunners will face the winner of the Strela Negra-Boston Olympiakos duel.

On Nov. 4, East Providence Sports (LUSA) will join Mass United FC, Mass Premier Soccer, Boston Olympiakos, Middlesex FC and Battery Park Gunners for the first round of U.S. Open Cup qualifying. East Providence Sports is permitted to participate among the Mass.-based clubs due to its affiliation with LUSA, which is based in Fall River. Strela Negra has been granted a first round bye.

Boston Olympiakos will meet Mass Premier Soccer at 2pm at “Fens” Park Dr. in Boston, while Battery Park Gunners is slated to play Mass United FC at Madison Park High School at 1:45pm. East Providence Sports and Middlesex FC will also square off at 2pm with Ceylon Park in Dorchester serving as the venue.

Strela Negra will play the winner of the Boston Olympiakos-Mass Premier Soccer match.

First round of the Amateur Cup Competition: Saturday & Sunday, October 27-28, 2012

First round of the Open Cup Competition: Saturday & Sunday, November 3-4, 2012

Second round of the Amateur Cup Competition: Saturday & Sunday, November 10-11, 2012

Second round of the Open Cup Competition: Saturday & Sunday, November 17-18, 2012

    Looks like you found the schedule, nice work. Some interesting match ups. We’re gutted to not be playing this year but we had too much going on with our promotion playoffs to Div2 of BSSL.
