MLS Morning Espresso 9/29
- Updated: September 29, 2010
All I need is one match, one match…that’s all I need…
My apologies for that poor paraphrase on the classic Nas track “One Mic.” It’s early and I slept late, which quite often inclines me to infuse hip-hop beats into my initial thoughts each morning. And there isn’t anything I would do to change this.
Anyway, as my inferior introduction suggested, there was only one match on the fixture list last night, as Toronto FC hosted Real Salt Lake for CONCACAF Champions League action. It looked good for the home crowd after Jacob Peterson put the Reds up with a sensational goal from distance in the 20th minute. However, the spoiler arrived in the 67th minute when Javier Morales’ fantastic free kick screamed into the net to level it, as the 1-1 draw eliminated Toronto from the tournament.
