DeMello Added to Pioneers Roster

The Western Mass Pioneers added another piece to their roster puzzle on Monday with the announcement that midfielder Sam DeMello will play in Ludlow for the upcoming season.

DeMello, who’s scored 29 goals in 57 games for St. Lawrence University (Canton, NY) through his junior year, was named Liberty Player of the Year in 2011.  The 6-0, 175 lbs. goalscorer hails from Easthampton, Mass.

The Pioneers are set to open their 2012 campaign on May 11 at Lusitano Stadium against the Seacoast United Phantoms at 7:30pm.
