Young Revs Go .500 in PA

The Revolution U-16s and U-18s each went 1-1 during against the competition in southeastern Pennsylvania last weekend.
On Saturday, the 18s outgunned the PA Classics in a 3-2 win in Manheim. Dominik Machado (30′) and Peguy Ngatcha (47′) opened up a two-goal lead before Chris Betrando slotted home a penalty in the 57th minute and Edward Painter leveled it in the 69th. But in the 82nd minute, Ramiro Osorio grabbed the game winner to give the Revs a promising start to the weekend.
However, the 16s struggled to find the firepower seen in the 18s match in their 2-0 loss to the PA Classics. Connor Maloney (40′) and Joseph Julius (60′) each scored for the hosts on Saturday.
On Sunday, the 18s attack was stuck in neutral as they dropped a 1-0 loss to FC Delco in Downington. Although it was a defensive battle throughout, FC Delco squeezed one through in the 37th minute wh n Melvin Snoh scored the lone goal to give the hosts the win.
The 16s capped the weekend with a 2-1 win over FC Delco. After a scoreless first stanza, Kevin Herrera (50′) and Gabe Gissie (78′) put the Revs in command before Michael Desiderio cut the lead in half in the 81st minute. But the Revs saw the game through and earned three points for their efforts.
With the win and loss, the Revs 18s go to 6-4-0 (3rd place in the U-17/18 Northeast Division) while the Revs 16s record went to 7-3-0 (2nd place in the U-15/16 Northeast Division) after splitting its pair of matches.
The Revolution Academy returns to New England this weekend, with games against Player Development Academy (N.J.) at Durfee High School (Fall River, Mass.) on Apr. 21 and New York Red Bulls on Apr. 22 at Gillette Stadium.
