Lee Nguyen’s stellar performance against Vancouver on Saturday certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

On Monday, the 25-year-old Revolution midfielder, who scored two goals and added an assist against his former team, earned MLS Player of the Week honors for Week 10. Nguyen received 10 of 21 first place votes from the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR).

Additionally, Nguyen’s 72nd minute goal – a 25-yard effort –  is one of five finalists for Week 10 Goal of the Week honors. The voting, which is open to MLS fans, will conclude on Thursday night.

Nguyen is the first Revolution player to claim a Player of the Week award in over two years. Kenny Mansally claimed the distinction during Week 2 of the 2010 season after scoring two goals off the bench against D.C. United on Apr. 3.
